Exfoliation: Our skin follows the routine of shedding old, dull cells and replacing these with fresh, flexible new ones. Younger cells give the skin a supple, hydrated look. Exfoliation helps the process by removing older cells effectively and nudging the skin to produce fresh cells. Exfoliation can be done by using facial scrubs, lemon juice as also exercising regularly.
Packs: Packs provide a nutrition boost to the skin with ingredients that are bursting with nutrients and gently bleach the skin to make it brighter and softer. Packs should always be applied on cleaned, scrubbed skin for maximum effect.
Sunscreen: If there is one elixir for great skin it is sunscreen. Sun damages our skin causing it to age prematurely with deep wrinkles and dark spots. Sunscreens need to be replenished every 3 hours if you are out in the sun.
Here are some easy to do magic DIYs for beautiful bright skin:
Exfoliation: Mix lemon juice (2 tbsp.) with fine grain sugar (3 tbsp.), add 3 drops each of glycerine and honey. Mix well and gently scrub the face with circular movements. Pay special attention to the nose (hotbed of blackheads) and wash off after 15 minutes. Say hello to smooth, shiny skin!
Packs: Lactic acid, found in milk, is a legendary ingredient for lightening skin (think Cleopatra). It acts by gently bleaching the skin while removing tan. You can use boiled cool milk if you have dry skin. For oily skin, it’s preferable to use unboiled milk. Apply all over face and neck and leave for 20 minutes before washing off with warm water.
Suntan removal: Tomatoes are packed with selenium that is a top fighter against sun damage. Drinking tomato juice equips our bodies to fighter harder to prevent sun damage by fortifying our skin. And that’s not all, a pack of fresh tomatoes actually helps in removing sun tan!
Sunscreen: Pick a sunscreen that is at least SPF 30 or higher. Apply it over your moisturiser in a gentle sweeping down motion.
